HOW TO FIND US...

The Symposium is being held at The Municipal Forum Romeu Correia (Praça da Liberdade, Almada).

 

By bus


In Lisbon there are three places where you can take a direct bus to the nearest stop (Praça S. João Baptista), which is about 50 meters distant from The Municipal Forum Romeu Correia where this Symposium is being held. These buses, from Transportes do Sul do Tejo (TST), can be picked up at “Praça de Espanha” (Bus nr. 152), “Cidade Universitária” (Bus nr. 176) or “Praça do Areeiro” (Bus nr. 160). All these bus stops are located near underground stations with the same names (“Praça de Espanha” – blue line; “Cidade Universitária” – yellow line; “Areeiro” – green line).

Another alternative, for departures from other country locations, can be offfered by “Rede de Expressos” buses, that has a main stop near the tram station of “Cova da Piedade”, which offers a direct connection with the tram pit-stop station of “São João Baptista” – where The Municipal Forum Romeu Correia is located.

By boat


The “cacilheiro”, the typical Tagus river connecting boat between Lisbon and Cacilhas/ Almada, has daily and regular routes starting from “Cais do Sodré” - which has an underground and train stations, with 10-15 minutes courses. The “Cacilhas” tram station makes the connection with “S. João Baptista” tram stop – only 50 meters distant from The Municipal Forum Romeu Correia.

By plane


Lisbon Airport is just 20 minutes from the city centre, and you have an efficient public transportation network that ensures a quick and comfortable arrival at your destination. You can visit the website Lisbon Airport. There is a special shuttle bus (Carris nr. 91), that takes passengers to Lisbon downtown in 20 minutes. This bus also stops at “Cais do Sodré” Train Station, next to the Ferry Station, where you can take a ferryboat to “Cacilhas”. 
Once in “Cacilhas” you can take a tram to “Universidade” or “Corroios”, hopping off on “S. João Baptista” tram stop.

By train


Take the underground and exit in “Jardim Zoológico” - which gives you access to the “Sete Rios” Train Station. Take the Fertagus Train to "Pragal" (one-way ticket costs 1,90€) and take the tram (MTS) towards “Cacilhas”, hopping off on “S. João Baptista” tram stop.

By tram



“Pragal” and “Corroios” tram stops are also train stations that offers a direct connection with Lisbon and Setúbal. The Municipal Forum Romeu Correia is located 50 meters distant from São João Baptista tram station which presents direct connection with “Cacilhas” ferryboat station (Lisbon-Cacilhas boat routes) and “Cova da Piedade” (for those who choose other bus connections). Each one-way ticket a cost of 0,85€.
